Since 1980, Sociedad Técnica de Inspección S.A. has participated in the inspection and certification of tanks for the Superintendence of Electricity and Fuels (SEC).

In the area of tank certification, STI S.A. has more than 30 years of experience certifying tanks for liquid fuels and liquefied gas under pressure, likewise STI S.A. inspects and certifies stationary tanks and hazardous substances transportation tanks, pressure tanks, vertical tanks and drinking water tanks.

STI S.A. performs these certifications under standards such as ASME (American Association of Mechanical Engineers), API (American Petroleum Institute), AWWA, (American Water Works Association), AWS (American Welding Society, DOT (Department of Transportation), AAR (American Association of Railroads, and TEMA (Tubular Exchanger Manufacturers Association), etc.
